Anwiki marks empty translations with   which is a good thing, it allows adding passages to the page like "<a>Add <fix>Foo</fix> </a>" which might turn into something like "<a> <fix>Foo</fix> hinzuf├╝gen</a>" when translated. However, while   means "empty" in the translation screen, in the final output you still get   - and that is sometimes suboptimal. The links mentioned above will have strange underline - for the first it will extend to far to the right, for the second too far to the right. I think that strings consisting only of   needs to be removed from the output. Patch is attached.

I agree, translation mode shouldn't automatically transform each empty translation with " ".
However, I think we shouldn't remove it automatically from any content, making it impossible to get "> <" rendered in final output.
I'll see if translation mode can be modified in order to :
- not add   if it was not typed by translator, or present in original content
- keep   otherwise
